The Klezmer Concert

We had a fine meal tonight at the Klezmer-Hois Restaurant in Krakow, with lots of traditional eastern European Jewish fare.  After the meal, a trio (viola, accordion, double bass) performed their own arrangements of Klezmer music.  The violist was also the vocalist.

The concert was very enjoyable, and a considerable change from the straight classical music we've heard so much of in the past several days.  Between the good food and good music, I think everyone had a good time.

Tomorrow we were supposed to move on to Olomouc, Czech Republic, via Auschwitz.  The trip to Auschwitz is definitely out, as it is flooded.  To get into the Czech Republic, we must cross the flooded river somewhere.  Stay tuned to see where we end up!
