Leaving Krakow

A screen shot from Polish TV this morning, as we are preparing to leave the city.  This is the Wisła (Vistula), the river that flows through both Krakow and Warsaw, upstream from the bridge in yesterday's photo.  The bridge is closed but intact.  The big story in Poland, not surprisingly, is not a closed bridge in Krakow but the very real flooding in the rural areas.  The land is generally flat from here north, and the flooding looks like pictures of floods in our own Midwest.

We set out in an hour or so; I don't know what we'll find.
